General Assembly 2015: Train Your Mind
The Business Management Society “General Assembly: Train Your Mind” was held last, July 14, 2015 at the STI College Recto Library. With the purpose of acquainting the freshmen with the organization and reinforce proper perspective for the preceding batches, short orientation on the organization’s vision, mission, and detailed objectives were discussed. Moreover, fun, team building games and activities were also done to improve camaraderie among the society members.
It started with an Invocation led by Ms. Angelica Luminarias a 2nd Year BSBM student, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Ms. Maureen Suelto coming from the same batch.
The event was formally opened by BM Adviser and Professor Gene Rose Corpuz with her inspirational Opening Remarks which welcomed the freshies in their second family. She highlighted the importance of establishing trust and becoming comfortable with other members, which can improve cooperation and unity within the system. Afterwards, a short game called ‘Dugtungan’ was held to lighten up the atmosphere of the initially serious program and unleashed the creative side of BM students in their distinct “#hugot” experiences. Up next was the discussion of the Organization’s Mission, Vision, and Objectives by BM Adviser and Professor Brian Kevin Par, in order to raise awareness and motivate all attendees to be loyal to these guiding principles.

To cap off the event, BM Adviser and Professor Catherine Moncayo thanked everyone for their cooperation and opened up future plans which will involve all Year Levels of the BM Society for the upcoming “Buwan ng Wika” on August.
The Organizing Committee headed by the BM Society President Amiel Niño Mercado Ilandag, with Ms. Maureen Suelto as head for decorations and physical arrangement, and Mr. Arjean Natividad VP for Finance as in-charge with games, Mr. Jerry Boy Villafranca as head for logistics, would like to thank everyone in their participation and effort to make this event worthwhile and possible. Till the next event BM Society: Train Your Mind.
