“Ohana”: BM Family Reaps a Place in School’s Basketball League

“Manalo, matalo walang iwanan!” This was BM Society’s battle cry during the equally demanding and challenging basketball match-ups with other STI College Recto student organizations held in line with the institution’s “College Week” celebration. It can never be more fun when you spend it with people who are in it for the bonding, camaraderie, and unity. Nonetheless, winning was a priority but it comes after ‘Ohana’ or the familial ties Advisers, Officers, and Students shared with each other in the way they faced every obstacle , handled every opportunity, and reconciled ineffable differences.

After three years, on the record, BM Society was able to get a place in the Top Three of the basketball league as the season’s 2nd Runner Up, setting a higher standard on the organization’s game play. Composed of members from different levels of students taking up the course Bachelor of Science in Business Management Major in Operations, the basketball court became the battleground of idealisms, skills, and potentials never been discovered within the four-walls of a typical classroom. Indeed, the team’s versatility in following their coach’s instruction, having a brave heart for execution , and being humble in receiving so much support from courtside fans brought victory in the most efficient way as a family learns to grow from every endeavor successfully overcome. Kudos to the BM Society Basketball Team! We are so proud of your achievement!

BM Society Supports STI Recto’s Senior High School Program

The Business Management Society of STI College Recto conducted a Career Orientation Seminar at Barangay 443 Zone 44 Balic-balic, Sampaloc, Manila, earlier today, February 20, 2016. With the intent to inform the community of the institution’s latest offering which is the Senior High School Program, a short session comprised of ice-breakers, k-12 101, as well as introduction to the academic tracks offered by STI Recto Senior High was made. The event was attended by over 20 Grade 10 Students from Ramon Magsaysay High School. An agape took place during the session and the students were very much enthusiastic to participate in the lined up activities as they shared their thoughts through the open forum, sang their heart out during the jam time, and unshackled their quirky side during the photo opportunities. Indeed, the seminar paved the way for these youngster’s dreams to take form and be yielded to attain success!
