Istorya: An Outreach Program Through Stories and Soup

The Business Management Society spearheaded an outreach program in Brgy 401 Zone 41 Day Care Center last October 23, 2015. With the purpose of establishing community extension activities, the day's program was tailor-fitted to the very young recipients. The event was started by a prayer led by BM301A's Angelica Luminarias, followed by a short introduction of who the BM Students are, likewise, the day care pupils showed interest in telling everyone who they were.

To level off everyone's energy, an ice breaker of nursery rhymes was taught by BM Society's Tropang Tunay composed of Mary Joy Libanan, Lorraine Inciong, Jazel Salazar, Gineth Popa, and Jessica Ogsimer.

The highlight of the event was the storytelling session with Miss STI College Recto 2015 Angelica Osana Adona on different fables which made the students digest the moral lessons as well as get amused with the story books' graphical representations.

Those who were present partook of the tasty chicken soup prepared by the BM students. Finally, a photo opportunity with the Day Care Teacher as well as kids took place before egress.

Young Achievers and Dreamers!

BMS-YAD Family
The Business Management Society of STI College Recto held their team-building/leadership workshop last October 10, 2015 from 1pm until 5pm at the school library. One of the highlights of the activity includes the “Boodle Fight” meal shared upon by BM Students from 1st year until 3rd year which made some give up some of their reservations in order to open up and adapt to the environment they are currently in. Moreover, the event served as the avenue to recognize BM students who achieved something in the academe by joining local school competitions and who added to the prestige of the entire BM Society, thus showcasing more reasons to get motivated to achieve the society’s goals and objectives. The BM Society Adviser, Ms. Gene Rose Corpuz also had the chance to talk with the students and left the quote, “Hindi mo kailangan maging matalino, kailangan mo lang ng diskarte,” when asked about her strategy to achieve and survive her life struggles. On the other hand, Bb. Catherine Moncayo, also a BMS Adviser, shared her journey as a student, as well as the story behind her major, which is AB Filipinolohiya, encouraging all who were present to work hard for what they desire most in life with fun and enjoyment. Finally, the official tagline and identity of contemporary BMS members was launched, that is, Business Management Society: Young Achievers and Dreamers. Being achievers by birth, the members were inspired to continue dreaming of more noble goals by moving on from every achievement achieved and sharing this with everyone to make it more meaningful. The event was capped by the recitation of the Business Management Society Manifesto, a vow of every BMS member to be Young Achievers and Dreamers.
